
French Glacé Cherry and Chocolate Brownies

Method
Pre-heat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease a 23cm square baking dish or tin.
In a bowl combine the sugar, vegetable oil and vanilla. Mix well with an electric mixer. Add the eggs and beat.
In a separate bowl combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the egg mixture, folding in completely as you go. Continue to fold in until all the cocoa mixture has been incorporated. Stir in the French Glacé Cherries and make sure they are evenly spread out into the mixture.
Pour the mixture in the greased baking dish and gently shake to ensure mixture has evenly spread.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 mins. The brownie mix should start to come away from the sides of the dish once baked.
Place on a wire cooling rack until cooled down. Cut into squares and serve.
